Good question.  I suspect that when all the writein votes for Chuck Baldwin are recorded, he will get nearly 200,000 votes.

Currently, according to CNN &amp; Fox News (http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/president/allcandidates/   and   http://elections.foxnews.com/states_map/index.html), Dr. Baldwin is at 173,178.

In most (if not all states), this does not count abstente, provisional, and write-in votes.  In 2004, the American Independent Party (California) cast over 30,000 votes for Dr. Baldwin.  Since he was a write-in this year, it will be interesting to see how California compares.</description>
